Another huge financial boost was given to the fight against rhino poaching in South Africa when a contribution of more than R500 000 was made. Unite against Poaching, a fund set up by Unitrans VW & Audi Trust, has donated R543 000 to bring the total amount contributed from the fund since its start on the first of September this year, to R1 468 000. The fund is administered by the SANParks Honorary Rangers and most of the funds are used to assist the Field Ranger in the Kruger National Park to fight rhino poaching. Currently, rhino poachers have modern and sophisticated equipment and weapons and it is essential that the Field Rangers match this technology to ensure success. The Unitrans VW & Audi Trust generates fund by donating R500 for each vehicle sold to the trust. This goes for both new and used vehicles and does not affect the price paid by the customers.
